Antique rocky road to Kansas quilt c1890. From a Virginia collector, this quilt is made of a variety of fabrics including wool, cotton, velvet and others. The quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted. It has 25 blocks, 12" x 15". A brown wool print is the border as well as used in setting the diamonds. There is a thin cotton batting and the reverse is a brown woven ribbed fabric. It is in fair condition. It has fabric deterioration, a few small holes and some seam separation. Beautiful quilt for the collector. Fabric on the back attached for hanging the quilt.
